I have to say that I am so proud of the K2 kids so far. They do have to learn to do quite a lot of school chores by themselves than before. After one month of trying and experiencing, learning from mistakes and retrying and being reminded...
Dear mommy and daddy, please do give them BIG hugs!!
We are into the 4th week,
this week's art was to play around with the three primary colors, RED, YELLOW and BLUE. Their job was to paint the first three on the circle and then mixed two colors out of the three to get the secondary colors. Can you imagine the fun? After art class, we went to grade 3 for buddy reading activity. We read to them and listened to the stories from them. *v*
we were into finishing up lesson 1. We made the efforts of completing a page of fill0ins with words to know in lesson 1. This reader is their first textbook. They need to know how to find and turn to different pages and to locate the words to know and try to read with the teacher and the class. Ms. Verinna feels that they have done a great job in welcoming this textbook and they tried with their cute little pointers below the words during reading!! Pat them on the backs!
Today, we were making the 2s, 3s, 4s, and 5s. We could add up and also know who (the parts) make the whole by counting with cheese-it crackers. We enjoyed making 5 with 1 and 4, 2 and 3, 3 and 2, and 4 and 1. Then to the number 4. It was our first time, and we will reinforce the making of parts to whole later this week. Aren't we great? YES!!
In language arts, we were into the pencil holding practice with directions and ways of moving up and down and sideways. Ms. Verinna said that to hold pencils correctly during writing, we would have beautiful penmanship once we are older! Let's keep trying!! Besides, the writing, we were into the review of sounds of letters.
In Phonics, we were doing the h and m listening of beginning sounds and picture names.
On Wednesday morning, we did morning prayer outside the computer lab and then we went into to have the fun. Today, we got to have the earphones to listen to sounds of letters from abcya.com LETTER MATCH and we listened to a story, "Lily, the Wild Cat".
For music, we learned a new song with Sister Jean. | |
